2 Corinthians 10:4-5  (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

I hope you won't  be offended if I tell you that the bible never speaks that principalities as being out there for you to pull down, but the bible talks about u being responsible for one area of ur life and if u win the battle in that area u win in the heavenlies...

I'm a preacher of God's love,so let me start from here. That we love Jesus is the fact that He first love us;there re still many pple that re still proud of their love for Christ but God really wants us to emphasize more on his love for us. That sounds somehow right, don't worry I will break it down.

There are places in the bible where the bible referred to 'John' as the disciple that Jesus loved. You will almost conclude that Jesus is partial, why will he love someone over another, but that's not true
It was John practicing the consciousness of the love of God for him..it was the fact that he realized 'Jesus love' more than other disciples.its not our love for him that matters it is his love that makes a difference.
Peter boasted of his love for the lord but it was a pity that he denied Jesus even with a curse ...John depended more on Christ's love for him, surprisingly he was the only standing disciple at the cross.

We loved him because he first loved us says the bible,so its not about our love for him but His love for us.

1 John 4
10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
It is His love that makes a difference not our love for him. He loves us even in the worst day.

The law was summarized that we should love God with all ur heart spirit and soul.have u seen any one do that before? Certainly not

2 Corinthians 10
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
 5 Casting down IMAGINATIONS, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;

Where re those strongholds found?in our mind...

Let me tell u aw the devil works...I read some thing some times ago about blasphemy against the holy spirit, and somehow the devil made me to believe that I have committed that sin. I was In the bondage of this guilt for weeks.
But I hope u know that this sins cannot be committed by believers? it simply means rejecting and not believing in Christ and his works.(John 16:7-11)
That was the sin the Pharisees committed by constantly rejecting him.

This is the Mind games played by the devil, he manipulates this thoughts in ur mind and then uses the personal pronoun "I".for example "I hate that sister" and then he backs off and manipulate it as if it was your thought.

Do not be deceived, they re not ur thoughts. The devil plays his game by throwing this thoughts in ur mind and knocks u on the head and asks u "Aw can u think such thoughts"?he is an expert in throwing those thoughts in our heart..

Every major bondage begins in the mind. The moment u begin to think it's ur thought u begin to have problem,he gets u.All what u have to do is to ignore it.(We are not ignorant of the devices of the enemies)

I have once been a victim of this, but now I have learnt to ignore it,in the past the reason y I fell for it so long is because I felt I must do something about it that it was my thought. And the moment I thought it was my thought he got me.
The reason why Christians have problem with this mind game with the devil is because they begin to think its their thoughts,so they felt they must do something about it.

Another thing I would love to correct about our believe is the word 'Repentance'
Repent in the Greek is 'metanoia' means change ur mind...Repent literarily doesn't mean sin.The bible talked about God repenting, does that means he committed a sin? Certainly not.
To repent doesn't really mean sin, people has form a religious meaning out of that word repent and they will be like you must roll on the floor and tears must flow like river from ur eyes and u must be seriously sober, blablabla.

Glory to God that anytime we hear the truth about the word of God, we begin to change our mind(repent).
Anointed preaching sets u free from wrong thinking, and brings u back to right thinking and right thinking brings right believing and right believing brings right results.
So its clear that the weapon that God was referring to here is the weapon against those thoughts.
The main crux of of the chapter is in verse 5

2 Corinthians 10
 5 Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
OBEDIENCE OF CHRIST
The obedience of Christ....Wowwwwww,bringing EVERY thought to focus on the obedience of Christ. What is it talking about??

I hear God saying keep ur Focus  always on the obedience of Jesus, and that will be a powerful weapon to pull down the stronghold of the devil.

What obedience of Jesus are we then talking about,we know Jesus lived a very obedient life on earth. He was God but he came to earth as a baby boy and on the night he was born there were signs on the sky he came not as a judge neither a law giver but as a saviour.
he was born for one purpose,to become the lamb of God i.e TO DIE on the cross,he came to give himself for our sins.he wasn't murdered he came for that reason.

And in every way he never sinned one time,at baptism God confirmed that this is my beloveth son.God has never said that to any man before.
He was perfectly obedient, yet what obedient of Christ are we to focus on?
The bible was actually referring to the obedience of Christ at the cross.
We must keep our mind on that obedience cos that is a very big weapon in our hand.
Lets go on a tour.

Romans 5
19 For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.

Are you ready for this?
If i may ask,Why are people sinners? You will likely tell me,because they sin but that's incorrect..
According to this verse, pple sin because they re sinners.
People re not sinners because they sin, they sin because they are sinners, but what made them sinners at the first place according to the word of God(bible) they re sinners because of Adams (disobedience)sin. David said "in sin did my mother and father conceived me".
Adams sin made all of us sinners(For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God). What Adam did was so powerful that he made us sinners forever until Jesus came.

Then the next line of the verse says by one man's obedience many shall be made righteous.
Just as Adam was the first man of the old race Jesus was the last Adam of the new race.

U know I have always used to think that people re sinners because they sin...
If a cat meow, its because its a cat,it is not meowing to become a cat,if a dog barks its not barking to become a dog.its because its a dog.
So we are all sinners not because we sin but because of Adam's sin.
I know we will be like what is this boy saying that his not sweet in his mouth.if ur heart is against all what I Av been saying since, be it unto u according ur faith, and if u feel u have to change ur mind too, glory to God.

I was coming from a place yesterday and I met a guy heading to church and people were like so (eyin naa tie ma n lo si church) I.e so u too use to go to church. And the guy replied them that we are all sinners no one is clean(gbogbo wa lelese, koseni tomo) and he was repeating it just not to make any of those pple condemning him to rather feel justify. Then i said "sir we are not all sinners"(gbogbo wa ko lelese sir)..forgive me for translating them in Yoruba..the scenario was in Yoruba actually and I am doing this to make this teaching as simple as possible that after this teaching u will really need the help of man to miss God again.
The guy said like how,and I quoted this current verse Romans 5:19 for him and for 1 minute(while on the walk) explained the meaning of the verse to him and he was like Henhen.then he said if thats true does that means we can keep on sinning..lol
What will u tell him if it were to be u?
Then I quoted Romans 6:1

So we are all sinners because of Adams sin that's why in heaven Adams house Is in one special corner and guarded by warring angels cos alot of people want to find him.lol

Now for we Christians y re we righteous today?by one man's obedience.
THAT WAS THE OBEDIENCE THE BIBLE WAS TELLING US TO KEEP OUR THOUGHTS ON.
When u focus on this believe,  that you are Righteous not by your works but because of Jesus finished work, you will effortlessly live right with God.

That is the obedience of Christ the bible asked you to bring all thoughts that exalts itself against the knowledge of God. Anytime the devil points you to what you didn't do right and what you did wrong, just tell him, 'I AM NOT RIGHTEOUS BY MY OBEDIENCE, I AM RIGHTEOUS BECAUSE OF JESUS OBEDIENCE'. Halleluyah!

So you need to know his to bring those arguments to the obedience of Christ, if there is anything that is sooooo certain for me,even than the fact that I am a male, that is 'I am the Righteousness of God through Christ Jesus'.
That is the greatest weapon to defeat guilt and condemnation;I am still Righteous, my Righteousness is not defined by what I do right but by what Jesus did right'.
Next week I will be explaining what our weapons of warfare are and how we can use them biblically.

Keep your mind focused on Jesus obedience and experience victory over guilt and condemnation. Halleluyah
